Sundae With Nuts – Gemma Brocato

June 23rd, 2013

Welcome to another saucy episode of SUNDAE WITH NUTS where I have asked my fellow authors to join me for the day for a bit of fun and a laugh. We are romance writers after all!

Without further ado, I am most pleased to introduce the lovely and talented (and very brave!) Gemma Brocato!

Sundae with the Nut Gemma Brocato

1.Favorite knickers: cotton, lace, silk or errr…leather?
I did own a pair of knickers once as a pre-teen – they were lovely purple corduroy and I felt very grown-up. Oh, you were asking about undies. I was talking about something you might golf in.
2.Who is your fantasy male or female? Or both?
Ragnar Lothbrook – of The History Channel’s Vikings. Now there is a man who successfully combines hot, impish and mischievous. Plus, I dig a man with a ponytail.
3.What language, when heard spoken, makes you frisky. (like Jamie Lee Curtis in A Fish called Wanda)
Does Klingon count?!? (What can I say—I’m a secret Trekkie.) Honestly I’d say an upper-class English accent does it for me.
4.What vehicle, abode, beach, construction site or other locale did you lose your virginity?
Let’s just say it was memorable.
5.Do you believe in love at first sight?
I believe that when you suddenly see your best friend through love goggles and he takes your breath away, that’s kind of like at first sight.
6.If you could play a board game during sex, what would it be?
Charades – you play that with your hands, don’t you?
7.Any special “toys” you’d like to give mention to for their outstanding achievements?
I have my eye on a new laptop, but I don’t think that’s the kind of toy you are talking about.
8.I *heart* Peter Cetera. What song immediately swoops you back to your “first days” of falling in love?
Little River Band. Mr. Gemma sang Reminiscing to me during our first dance. My stomach still flips when I hear that song.
9.Most romantic or sexiest destination out there.
My ideal vacay would be a cabin by a pond, deep in a lush green forest. Maybe with a mountain rising in the distance and a cool breeze taking the heat out of the day as the sun slants down to the horizon. Sipping a nice glass of Sauv Blanc with Mr. Gemma after a lazy morning and a great afternoon of hiking. Or Vancouver, Canada in April, when the trees are flowering and the petals are falling like pink snow. That is very special.
And last but now least.
10.Favorite ice cream flavor.
I’m more of a savory than sweet person. Don’t care that much for ice cream. But if I have it, some amaretto on top makes it amazing.

Thanks for being a Nut, Miss Gemma! And it sounds like you are still very much in love with your husband and I think that’s wonderful. THAT gives me stomach flips. Because I love the HEA. I laughed my ass off to your answer for #1, but my favorite? #5 because really–that is super dreamy, and I believe love at first sight, but in a different way. Like you said, all of a sudden something clicks (love goggles)…and they you are, staring love in the face. Did you ever see that 80s film – Some Kind of Wonderful? A trope worthy of so many more romance novels.

And WHAT? You don’t like ice cream?? You’re lucky I posted this! LOL

Miss Gemma is a lovely Lyrical sister with a debut release, COOKING UP LOVE, so please stop by and share her fun and excitement. The feeling of a debut release is right up there with the “first days”.

And don’t forget! WATERSHED is on sale until midnight! Only 99cents at Lyrical Press – YIPPEE
