ANZAC DAY – Lest We Forget

Today is an important day for the remembrance of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers who fought and died at Gallipoli in 1915. It is also a day of remembrance for all soldiers who died while fighting for their country.

My family is half Australian, my husband from Goondiwindi, and both our sons born in Queensland. When living in Australia I also proudly received my Australian citizenship. It is important for our family to recognize this part of our heritage, too, even though we now live in Michigan. So that we may not forget, my husband and I will teach our children what this day means to Anzacs everywhere, and make sure they recognize this day for the relevance it has for them as an Australian.

-Cd Brennan
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
